Fanlistings A History

Fanlistings have been a wonderful and positive part of my life. They have enabled me to meet so many amazing people and without fanlistings I would never have continued to grow and develop with my website designs. It shows you that even a simple concept can really mean a great deal to many people.

The Beginning

I was first introduced to the concept of fanlistings around mid 2003. I immediately thought the idea was amazing and was hooked. I began joining a huge number of listings (primarily Harry Potter related, hehe) and placing the codes/buttons on my website showing my pride for what I loved. I did not feel confident enough at first to create my own listing, or join the message board. Eventually though I found the courage and was approved for my first listing in February 2004 for New Zealand racing driver Greg Murphy. I joined the forum later in 2004 and was so glad, because I was granted the opportunity to converse with so many delightful people.

The Fantabulous Years

For many years after I joined the network, created my first listing and began to meet people from the network the excitement and join surrounding the concept of fanlistings really began to sink in. I began to make many more, continue to join them and stalk the updates and adoptions thread (heh). During this time I became a trouble checker at The Fanlistings Network and later I also adopted the Physical Fanlistings Network with my good friend Nicole.

Today Is Tomorrow

I may no longer be a trouble checker or run The Physical Fanlistings Network but I still have a great love and admiration for fanlistings. I am not as active on the boards (although I need to change this!) and don't apply for or run as many listings as I once did, however I still feel that I am apart of a great community that has really helped me in so many ways. I have been blessed to meet some of the most delightful people via the network and been able to improve my designs and really find a love for something I wouldn't have imagined when I was younger. *snuggles*
